LOOKING INTO THE FUTURE
In addition to the countries above, ECM is prayerfully considering opening new mission fields in the following nations:
Despite Iceland's reputation as a paradise of rugged natural beauty and socioeconomic stability, with one of the world's highest living standards, Icelandic people however are in need of the true riches that come through an encounter with Jesus Christ. ECM would like the opportunity to start work in Iceland, to equip, connect and multiply followers of Jesus there.
A rich agricultural land with unfulfilled potential, Moldova is among Europe's poorest nations due to persistant and unresolved political problems, lack of industry and trade, economic dependence on Russia and lingering effects of communism. But overall, Moldova needs the light of Jesus to shine on the country. Would you like to serve with ECM in Moldova?
Slovakia has a strong Christian heritage, but the many Catholic, Lutheran, and Reformed Churches struggle with low attendance. Pray that the Holy Spirit would bring new life to the foundation of Christianity in Slovakia, and for the right opportunity to open for ECM to start a new mission field there.
BEYOND EUROPE
Although Europe is our mission field, ECM also has four mobilisation offices outside of Europe:
ECM has a small sending office in New Zealand, which supports people who feel called to share the Gospel in Europe. Many Christans in New Zealand are of European descent, and they have a deep concern for Europe and want the message of the Gospel to be heard throughout the European continent.
The ECM office in Australia is working with a dedicated team of office staff, Council members and volunteers for the selection, sending and support of missionaries. In addition, the office mobilizes Christians in Australia to help build a different Europe, through prayer and financial support.
ECM has a sending office in Brazil. This office supports people who want to go to Europe to spread the Gospel, because Brazil too has a passion for Europe and wants the message of the Gospel to be heard throughout all of the European continent.
The ECMI-USA office in America is working to recruit, deploy, and support missionaries and projects. In addition, the office promotes prayer and partnerships to help build a transformed Europe through the name of Jesus Christ.
